What do customers say?
“What a great experience! Schedule online to have work done at my convenience. That's a win! The local bike shop was a 2 week wait and I would have had to schlep both my kids bikes in for a tune up...I would use Beeline again in a heartbeat.”
Customer convenience is the biggest selling point behind Beeline Bikes. Customers can arrange a time and place for an appointment by phone or online, and the mobile shop comes to your home or workplace fully stocked with tools and spare parts. The mechanic and customer can then interact one on one for a level of personalized service that’s often unavailable in traditional shops where you may never exchange a word with the person who’s fixing your bike.
Bay Area-based mobile bike repair service and retailer Beeline Bikes is pursuing expansion with a franchise model aimed at growing its business across the U.S. and, in time, internationally… “We see mobile bike service as probably the ideal way for bike customers to interact with their mechanics and build one-on-one that really drive the industry forward,” said Competitive Cyclist vice president Will Sladek.
While there are thousands of small, independently owned bike shops across the country and in bike-friendly cities like San Francisco, it’s still a pain to bring your bike in for a tune-up. There’s scheduling, and then there’s the hassle of not having a bike for several days. Pete Buhl started Beeline Bikes, which is kind of like an Uber for bike tune-ups.
